Building sand or sharp sand, which do I use for bedding Ridge tiles on the roof?

Ive already answered this question but the guy suggesting stucco is quite right as it has the neccessary limeBuilding sand or sharp sand, which do I use for bedding Ridge tiles on the roof?
My preference is mortar/stucco mix. You get the right sand premixed with the proper amount of the right cement. You just add water and mix.
