It is most likely dermatitis or flea bites. Particularly if he has been scratching. The good news is its easy to treat.





Simply use a soothing medicated flea shampoo and prevent him from biting by spraying a very small amount of vinigar on his fur (tastes terrible). Once you stop him biting or scratching and erradicate fleas it will heal on its own. An alternative to shampoo is ';advantage'; or another monthly treatment, these are great and also treat his bedding but is much more expensive.





If it does not get any better in a week then a quick visit to the vet may be needed, they will most probably prexcribe a steroid tablet or cream to help with the irritation.
