is this a test question? the subject is left out you sir have asked the impossible question, but I will try to work this out the ridge board is at the apex of the roof. the angle of the roof to the ridge board is the rise, like 7 to one.meaning for every inch wide it gains or looses one inch in height to level. it would depend if you measure your rise from the edge or the ridge.
so 5.5' and one half for sheathing seam not related at all unless your referring to 1/2 inch decking still I just don't see what your talking about, sorryFor the height of my ridge board.....what would 5' .5'; (one half for sheathing) times my rise of 7 equall to?
YOU WANT 6'; STOCK. LIKE A 1X6X16 6 '; STOCK IS 5 AND A HALF INCHES TALL.
