First Wheat Ridge is a town, Cherry Creek is a neighborhood and a shopping center.
The fastest way is to take I-70 to I-25 to 6th Avenue to University. It would take 30 to 45 minutes tops. Another option would be to take Speer Blvd. I can't imagine it could ever take 3 hours. I could ride a bicycle in less time than that.
I drive this route every day. It takes 25 minutes.
assuming you live right off of 70 and there is limited traffic about a half hour, with traffic it can take up to three hours.
